Free and cheap fall events from now until the end of October. We wish we could attend all of these fun fall and halloween events!

Pier Pumpkin Lights

October 1 – November 2

Free pumpkin pop-up experience at the Navy Pier.

Fall Fest at the Lincoln Park Zoo

Friday – Sundays, Sept. 27 – Oct. 27

Ticketed attractions throughout the zoo! Also enjoy animal chats, musical entertainment, a pumpkin patch, professional pumpkin carvers, and fall-themed enrichment for the animals!

Activities located at the Nettelhorst School from 11am – 2pm. Trick-Or-Treating will run 2pm – 5pm at local businesses.

FREE crafts and games followed by Trick-or-Treating at businesses throughout the Clark Street SSA district.

Logan Square Halloween Parade/Desfile de Halloween

Sunday, October 27, 5pm – 7pm

The parade starts at the Illinois Centennial Memorial and surrounding traffic island, the parade will proceed south along the west side of Kedzie Blvd to Fullerton, where it will cross east, and then loop back north on the other side of Kedzie. The parade ends at Lula Cafe, where kids will be treated to complimentary apple cider and delicious cookies.”

Trick or Treat on Southport

Trick or Treat on Southport features family-friendly activities, local food vendors, craft beer from Corridor Brewery, music and trick-or-treating at local businesses.

Pumpkin Patch at Humboldt Park

Wednesday, October 30, 4:30pm – 7:30pm

Games, art activities, face painting, inflatables, popcorn and refreshments. Free for children ages 12 years and younger.

Halloween Party

Thursday, October 31, 4:00 – 8:00pm

Salvation Army Freedom Center
Come for Dinner, a 75 ft tunnel, games, prizes, candy, and a movie from 6:30 to 8PM. No cost.”
