Michelle’s Picks – @wu.nder_days

Painted Pots

Painting pots with your little one is such a fun way to spend some time with each other.  Best part is that you can paint or even use paint markers.

Fork Painting

I’m a huge fan of easy and affordable crafting. All of these are found at the Dollar tree. I love the aspect of using plastic utensils to spark your little ones creativity.

Spring Gardening

I love this Spring themed sensory play activity. Not only would this activity keep your child busy for hours but also a great way to introduce them to gardening.

Rainbow Bubbles

My boys are huge fans of bubbles. This would be a fun activity to teach colors to your toddler.

Rainbow Matching Activity

Fine Motor Play

@busyascanbri has tons of simple activities using everyday items around the home! This craft involves pom poms and cardboard, with a focus on fine motor skills. I love that this activity is recyclable, portable, and can involve various learning focuses.

Velcro Scavenger Hunt

@missjaneofalltrades is the QUEEN on simple set up play! She uses lots of recyclables in her play set ups – and because she is a teacher, her play always has a learning benefit. This cardboard and velcro activity is a great way to engage the littles on any neighborhood walk or nature hike. I especially like that it can be adapted in so many ways for your own environment.

Cut the Grass

@oliviasplayfuldays is as kind as she is creative! Using items from around the house, your child will have the chance to “cut the grass”. I love the simple set up, and clear cause and effect of the cutting. I know my little one will absolutely love this one!

Rosemary’s Picks – @hopscotchcity

DIY Chalk Paint

Honeycomb Painting

TP Roll Stamped Daisies

  1. Rock painting is our favorite! We have an entire group in my community that paints positive sayings on rocks and leaves them on local hiking trails for people to fine.
