Our Favorite DIY Halloween Costumes!

We are a little sad that Halloween is over already. So I decided to do one last Halloween post. We saw so many kid and family DIY Halloween costumes that we absolutely loved so just had to share our favorites!

Halloween is upon us or has been this entire month. With changing times the holidays will definitely be different for everyone. I’ve been more aware of the way I speak to my children and try to spend quality, screen-free time with them by either crafting or just having simple conversations with them. With them going back to in-school learning M-T, I look forward to Fridays because I can have them back in my arms again. This year, they decided to dress up as @marshmellomusic. They’ve always loved his music but now even more after being a character in @fortnite. Does your older kids still like dressing up? My 7 year old is phasing out slowly, he’s almost too embarrassed to wear his costume.

The sweetest little astronaut.

Kate Ryan 6 Months Old (as of 10.27)⠀ 🖤⠀ You are our entire universe.⠀ 🪐⠀ We are over the moon about you. ⠀ 🌑⠀ You are just out of this world and such a blast.⠀ 🚀⠀ We hope you always reach for the stars and set your sights high ⠀ ✨⠀ ⠀ I decided at 10PM last night that Kate’s astronaut @oldnavy onesie wasn’t going to cut it for her first Halloween, so I went on a scavenger hunt through out my house and geared her up for blast off using an @amazon mailer, some red solo cups and tissue paper, an empty diet pepsi box with tin foil and a good old hot glue gun. The rocket stayed on for about 3 minutes and the helmet didn’t fit, but I think I’ve earned another Mom badge for my vest – “the last minute thrown together costume” badge, and I’m damn proud. ⠀ ⠀ I’m not sure how our little peanut has been earth side for HALF OF A YEAR. She truly is our entire world and she brings so much happiness into our lives. ⠀ ⠀ ⠀

#FlashbackFriday to Ezra’s Halloween costume that I made last year 😂 I’m not usually crafty in this way AT ALL, but it was honestly super easy to make with my @officialcricut & some @dollartree supplies! What are you or your kids going to be for Halloween? This year Ezra went as Captain America! Swipe to see 😊 • • • • • #halloween #happyhalloween #halloweencostume #halloweencostumes #halloween2020 #diyhalloweencostume #diy #diycostume #dollartree #cricutmaker #cricutmade #cricutexplore #cricutproject #cricutexploreair #cricutexploreair2 #cricutdesignspace #crafts #crafting #papercraft #papercrafting #craftaddict #diyideas #cricut #kraft #macandcheese #vinyl #printablevinyl #getcreative #makersgonnamake

The cutest UPS driver and Amazon package I’ve ever seen! Not to mention

View this post on Instagram

Halloween Delivery 📦🎃😷 So mid-pandemic, the older boys decided they were going to be UPS guys for Halloween (since they became the highlight of our days in quarantine). So I got costumes early. Then this week, Chase decided “I don’t want to be anyone else. I want to be myself. I’ll dress up as Chase”. Can’t knock a self-actualized 4 yr old🤷🏽‍♀️. So he became the civilian receiving the packages, with full covid-protective gear. And naturally, Camden became an Amazon package. Our neighborhood delivery guy, Lawrence, is the sweetest person and let them check out his truck. A few days ago they asked me to make them a UPS truck…they love throwing in last-minute challenges. Thanks to our new neighbors with extra moving boxes, I converted their John Deere tractor into this bad boy with some packing tape and brown paint (and aluminum foil for side mirrors 🤣). Check my stories for more of the live action. Trick-or-treating may have been cancelled, but our Halloween spirit sure wasn’t 😜🎃 #halloween2020 #pandemichalloween
